After a disappointing result against Kirriemuir Thistle, Tayport showed their fight as we won the game 1-4. Two goals from Innes in 20 minutes instantly showed our determination as we were keen to fight back and prove how strong we are. Mackenzie Williamson scored a cracking header in the 30th minute with Matty Adam finding the back of the net 4 minutes after that to allow Tayport a comfortable 0-4 lead
A slower second half gave Coupar plenty chances to claw one back which they did toward the end of the second half.
The game finished 1-4 and means Tayport can return to The Canniepairt to defend their home turf against Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup.
The Man of The Match was awarded to Ian Plenderleith.
