Tayport can announce that on the eve of the new season brothers Andy and Callum Walls have departed the club for pastures new.
Both players have completed our pre season training with the boys but won’t remain at the club for the upcoming season.
Callum was one of Daryl’s 1st signing’s last summer when he became Manager and Andy joined the Port in October last year following his release from Kirrie Thistle. Both players contributed throughout the season with consistent performances.
Manager McKenzie commented “Both Andy & Callum were excellent for me last season. Callum signed immediately and made an impression on the coaching staff straight away with his tenacious performances and reliability. Callum was hampered with injuries in the latter part of the season and that was difficult. Andy signed later in the season but was an ever present in Midfield from October onwards and helped us to have a positive 2nd half of the season.
Both players attitude and commitments deserve regular starting spots at this level and that was something I couldn’t guarantee this season.
I want to place on record my thanks to both players for their hard work and commitment to Tayport and wish them well for the season."
