Tayport continued their winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Forfar West End at the Canniepairt today. The first half finished with a score line of 1-1, Tayport’s goal coming from Bradie Heggie after the ball was whipped in by Jamie McCabe in the sixth minute of play. Forfar’s equaliser came ten minutes later from a corner that was headed home by the away side. Clearly the team talk at half time paid off and the home side started the second half much stronger. After a straight red for Forfar’s Nathan Fitzpatrick, Tayport shifted into gear. The second goal for Tayport came from Dayle Robertson after a defensive error from Forfar allowed him to chip the keeper to put the home side in the lead with just over 20 minutes left to play. It was Robertson again who finished off the game at the Canniepairt. A great ball in from Jamie Gill found Robertson in the box for a delightful header, hitting off the inside of the post and into the back of the net. A great result once again for Tayport, three wins from three games with only one goal conceded. Looking ahead to next week they face East Craigie at Craigie Park (1.30pm kick off) in what is sure to be their toughest challenge in the league thus far.
